Culmore is a rural border village situated on the River Foyle. Culmore Fort in the village at the water’s edge predates the 17th Century and the present tower house was built in the 1800s on the site of the original building. Our Culmore Women’s Handcrafters Group and Culmore Tourism and Craft Collective agreed to develop the potential for Tourism focus and employment and training in the village.
The art heritage learning session successfully established a training opportunity that has the potential to be developed further for tourism product manufacture and sales.
